Employer Paid Healthcare
Union employers pay 100% of healthcare insurance for the employee and their family. Our healthcare plans exceed most other plans on the market. Some of our many benefits are:

Our healthcare is paid for by the employer and administered by joint trusteeship between the members and the contractors. This provides for quality of service and benefits. Every member has a voice.
Pensions
Our pensions are funded completely by the employer. We have two types of pensions for union employees, a defined benefit pension and a pension annuity fund. Retirement available at 55 years of age (with reduction) unreduced retirement age is 60 years.
Defined Benefit Pension
For every year of 1800 hours of contribution a member receives a monthly benefit for the remainder of their life after retirement. Typical amount are as follows:

Defined Contribution Pension
Every hour worked the employer contributes to the Pension Annuity fund. At the current rate and an average of 1800 hours worked, the amount of money in the fund would be as follows:
[ AWAITING UPDATE ]According to federal regulations you are 100% vested after the first contribution. Because the employer is the sole contributor, this fund is not subject to FICA taxes, unlike a typical 401k plan.
